Azaleas In My Circle

This morning I walked around my circle, checking the progress of the azaleas.

They aren’t lush with blooms yet. But will be in a week or so. Here are some photos…

Here are my white azaleas in the west side yard.

My front yard…

My pink ones on the east side…

In my neck of the woods, tall pines are customarily part of most any background. They stand tall and majestic, part of the tapestry of the Piney Woods of East Texas.

  1. Beautiful !!

  2. The azaleas are just lovely. They don’t fare too well where I live due to the cold, but in Brithsh Columbia where I grew up they are every where!
    I still miss them.
    Thatnks for sharing yours. 🙂

  3. Love the big pink azaleas. They look almost like orchids. Ours won’t bloom for quite some time yet. Last year they opened and then a cold snap hit them so we only had a few days of pretty. Hope that doesn’t happen this year.

  4. Your close ups of the azaleas are fantastic…I once had a marvelous stand of little pink coral bells…I miss them! gail

  5. That is the most beautiful, hottest pink I’ve ever seen in the first photo. Those tall pines look so peaceful and relaxing!

  6. I was wondering how the azaleas were doing-lovely, just lovely!

  7. My anticipating spring is heightened by your previews of the azalea trail. It is great to appreciate your area and see spring a month before we will see it here. Thanks for sharing.

  8. Looks like picture postcards!

  9. Brenda, your circle is so beautiful! xo, suzy

  10. Brenda,
I so adore you neck of the woods. The trees are fabulous and all the Azaleas are gorgeous. What a pretty circle you live on!

  11. Gorgeous, I just can’t stand it.
    Love the salmon colored one.

  12. Very pretty! I love azaleas(-: Don’t you wish they bloomed all summer?(-:

  13. I just love Azaleas in the spring. Ours aren’t blooming yet here. A few more weeks maybe.

  14. Lovely azaleas.

  15. They look pretty good to me! I love the one in your front yard. Such a beautiful shade of red. We just hardly ever see azaleas like that here. If we do, it’s just one shrub, never a row. We have more rhododendrons than azaleas because they winter better.

  16. Brenda,
Your Azaleas are amazing. The first photograph looks as if the stems are made of sterling silver. What a gorgeous post.

I am so glad that your journal page came. I really enjoyed hand-painting them. Have a lovely weekend.

  17. Brenda, I haven’t been here for a couple of days and find you’ve been busy! Am I wrong or is there also a new look to your blog? I love it!

Wish I could take the azalea tour with you. We have a dusting of snow on the ground this morning – lst official day of spring…

  18. Its so refreshing to see your wonderful pictures when it’s still in the 20’s here! The Azaleas are gorgeous, wish we had them here.

  19. East Texas is soooo very pretty!
