Cielo’s Garden Party!

Img_1283 Img_1214

Sweet Cielo at The House In The Roses blog, is the hostess of a spectacular summer garden party today. Thanks Cielo! Come on in, folks!

First, let’s have a cup of hot coffee and some Texas-sized pastries in the gazebo and get to know one another.

It’s going to be a scorcher here in East Texas later today! So enjoy it while it’s early!

Below is the view just inside my front gate and arbor.

We’ve already set a spell in the gazebo, so let’s wander on down the path, shall we?

I use lots of decoration in the yard. A feast for the eyes! Sure wakes you up in the morning! Below are chimes from The Garden Deva in Tulsa. My grown daughters started getting me gifts from her fanciful place years ago. So every time I visit them, I have to go see what she’s come up with next!

As we live in a garden home on the corner, the views you’re getting are just of my east side yard. I haven’t gotten around to doing much with the other side or the front yet! Now we’re about midway down the path.

I have lots of little seating areas so you can sit down and rest a bit. Take in the surroundings. Maybe sip a tall glass of iced tea with fresh mint from the garden.

She (below) is my latest acquisition from The Garden Deva. My daughters got her for me for Mother’s Day. I just love her!

Are you tired yet? We could sit down here by the pond.

I have lots of birds come nest in my yard. The most beautiful Eastern Bluebirds come every year and build their nest in the back birdhouses. The cobalt blue and orange bluebird is one of the prettiest sights of spring time.

And here we have the pond. The plants are about to overtake it, I’m afraid! I have two fish in here, Survivor and Spot. The most beautiful yellow water lilies come up every few days.

The vines on this arbor have buds getting ready to burst forth with flowers any day now.

I so hope you enjoyed your visit! Now run on back to see Cielo and tour the other gardens. This is so much fun! Thank you, darlin’, for sending these fine folks to Texas to visit!
